SumProg Sunday: Wheels Classic

My name is Ezra Bobo and I wanted to tell you about the best summer of my life! I recently went on USY on Wheels Classic (Bus B 2013) and it was honestly the greatest experience ever! We did so many fun activities and there was NEVER a dull moment.

We started off in Newark, New Jersey. Even though I didn’t know a single person on my bus, I immediately felt like I was at home. We started off with some icebreakers and I quickly found friends! The 1st day we started our way down the East coast, stopping at a potato chip and pretzel factory on the way.

Within 2 weeks we made our way to NOLA, which was ironically the place that IC was held this past year. My most fond memory of Wheels was definitely the aquarium in NOLA. A group of us were part of a self-made group called “The Fish Finders”. Our goal, of course, was to find fish. As this may not seem all that difficult because we were in an aquarium, we wanted to find only the MOST SPECIAL fish. Whenever we would find a fish to our liking, we would yell “fish finders, ASSEMBLE.” While this might not seem like a very interesting task, it was made fun because I was doing something random with my friends. It also assured me that I now was friends with all these people that had been strangers to me the first day. I also bought a stuffed turtle (I named him squirt, like from “Finding Nemo”) and I bring with me to every convention! Just ask to see him and I might just let you 😉
