So, what’s going on this week?
When the new ambassadors from Hungary, Serbia Turkmenistan and the tiny nation of Micronesia came to Jerusalem to hand in their credentials to Israeli President Shimon Peres, Micronesian ambassador, Asterio Takesy, offered one of the Micronesia’s 667 islands to Peres as a gift. Takesy permitted to break protocol and expressed his appreciation for Peres and for Israel. Stating that it is now well known that his people and country support Israel and will continue to do so. He concluded by giving the Island to Peres.
Recently, the Iranian television broadcasted a special program threatening the United States and Israel while simulating the destruction of Tel Aviv. The public was ‘treated’ to computer generated simulations of Iranian aircrafts and missiles destroying civilian areas (Hamedina Square, Ben Gurion Airport, Azrieli Towers, etc) as well as footage from the second Lebanon War of Hezbollah firing missiles into northern Israel. Iranian officials warned the U.S. that they will easily sink the ships stationed there and claimed that an Iranian fleet is already sailing for America’s territorial waters.
